Thanksgiving in Vegas

Whatever happens on Thanksgiving stays on Thanksgiving.  In October, I declared in this post I was tired of the norm and would visit Las Vegas this Thanksgiving.  Well, I did it!

The difficult part of the decision was telling my extended family I wouldn’t be around for the holiday.  It was very difficult.  There were long faces.  I got the announcement out-of-the-way early so that the pressure was minimized.  Really, pressure?  I wonder how many of you felt the pressure to decide between the In-laws house or your grandmother or cousin?  Why is there pressure to eat turkey?  I know,  it’s not about the turkey, it’s about giving thanks for everything.  So I ask, can you not  give thanks any or every day of the year?

On the way to Vegas I took these shots about 80 miles away The Walking Dead South of Las Vegas.

Without an agenda and playing it entirely by ear, my trusty iPhone and I were able to capture key moments. With Christmas coming around the corner, I’m sure the pressure is mounting.  I dare you to reconsider and liberate yourself.   What will you do differently this year?

  1. It was definitely fun hanging with the crew. Your goddaughter was extra excited to see all of you. (If she could have just gotten on that Rollercoaster). Too bad we didn’t get a chance to hang more. How was the show? or should I say did you enjoy it?
